FINALLY

Finally someone who isn't ranting and raving about the death toll in Iraq, finally someone who realizes that this is becoming a victory...
  • Hyping Lossings while Glossing over Victories

  • I really enjoyed this article. After having many friends and my fiance in Iraq its nice to finally see someone who isn't against all of them. Thank heavens for that.

You should really look up more of Mr. Sowell's work. He is an incredible writer.

      That was a good article.

I think my problem with the whole war is that it was executed hastily, was unnecessary (when you think of a real threat like North Korea), and wasn’t used as a a “last resort.”

As a retired veteran with 21 years of service, it pained me greatly to see them go into Iraq when we should have been focusing our manpower, money and massive resources on Afghanistan and Bin Laden.

But...there’s no undoing the past, so all we can do is forge ahead and make sure we leave Iraq and its people better than we found them, and with a sustainable future of peace. I think we’re doing a good job of that so far.

If our politicians (all of them) have learned nothing else, I hope they’ve learned that war, should be a last resort.

Carlos, Considering were are at least (by UN count) 37 "material breeches" of the articles that stopped the 1991 war. That alone was enough (according to UN res 687) to invade..

The Prez waited 6 months from the time the Senate voted to do anything, not exactly "rushing" .

And, I be about 11 million Iraqi's would disagree with your point on it being unnecessary.
